Disconnecting and reconnecting
What is kept, what is deleted, and the window for changing your mind.
You can disconnect your Instagram account at any time from Settings. It is reversible, and it is not a delete.
What happens immediately
- Your automations stop running. They are not deleted.
- dmrabbit stops receiving new comments and messages for that account.
- Your existing conversations, contacts and history stay where they are.
The 90 day window
If you reconnect the same account within 90 days, everything comes back exactly as it was: conversations, contacts, and the record of who has already been through a follow gate.
After 90 days that information is deleted permanently. Your account, your automations and your bio pages are unaffected and remain yours.
Three ways an account gets disconnected
| How | What it means |
|---|---|
| You disconnect it | From dmrabbit Settings. |
| You remove dmrabbit | From inside Instagram's own settings. Instagram tells us, and the result is the same. |
| Instagram refuses access | See Staying connected. You are emailed when this happens. |
Deleting your dmrabbit account instead
Disconnecting Instagram does not close your dmrabbit account. For that, see Account and settings.
