Choosing which posts to watch

A comment automation watches either everything or a chosen set of posts. This step does not appear for the other triggers, because they are not attached to a post.

All posts

The automation answers comments anywhere on your account, including posts you publish in the future. Good for a general rule, such as answering anyone who asks about pricing.

Specific posts

The automation answers only comments on the posts you select. Good for a campaign, a launch, or a giveaway where the reply only makes sense on one post.

You can pick as many as you like. New posts are not added automatically.

Which to choose

Specific posts is the safer default when you already have other automations, because a more specific automation wins when two could both answer the same comment. An automation set to all posts loses to one that names the post. See Only one automation replies.

Seeing what is automated

The Posts section marks every post that a live automation is watching, so you can see coverage at a glance.
